Another Quilting Adventure

The center squares with the different moving vehicles, trucks cars, planes, etc. were hand stitched by my sister Shaneil (isn't she amazing!). I put the blocks together in the quilt and used my free-motion foot to do all the quilting.

I made this quilt for my nephew Hunter. My sister Emily picked out the fabric and I've spent the last few months putting it all together. This is the biggest quilt I think I've made. It should fit on a queen size bed. I hope Hunter likes it.

We love to Dance

What can I say they get all their moves from their dad:)

Pool Day in the backyard

Spider-Ashton climbing the fence.
Basking in the rays of the sun.
I ran out of swim diapers.....so Noah got to let it all hang out.

It happened to be gorgeous here, temps in the upper 70s, no wind. So we took advantage and made an "oasis" in our backyard. Ashton broke out his swim goggles and everything. We don't have much of a backyard but it's big enough for our kiddie pool and that seems to be enough for our kids. We're just grateful to finally have any outdoor space that is our own.

Fun at Needlework group

These are images of my friend Liesel's daughter Sabrina and Ashton being creative with foam darts. It was pretty funny!
Finn and Noah. People have asked Mia and I if Finn and Noah are twins. I just say the Finn is Noah's brother from another mother.

So if you have ever wondered what the kids do while the moms are trying to knit, crochet, etc. well, now you know. They get creative and make a mess. We love it!

The Oakland Zoo

Noah climbing the huge caterpillar

Ashton and the caterpillar

Ashton and Kyler (Ethan's Cousin Cathy's oldest boy), Ashton was so excited to hang out with cousins and friends at the zoo. Ashton and Kyler were our expedition leaders, holding the map and telling us where to go next, it was really cute.
Mia and her boys Avery and Finn rode with us down to the Zoo. At times it felt like we were in a zoo before we even got there. But they were all good sports and we had a blast.

Ashton rides his bike sans training wheels

Ashton Loves riding his bike. We went as a family on the Joe Rodota Bike trail out to Sebastopol and had some ice cream. Ethan pulled Noah in the trailer behind him. And Ashton and I rode our bikes-without training wheels (As Ashton likes to point out):)
After we were done with our bike ride Ashton fell into a giant mudhole. It was hilarious! One of those moments when you can't stop laughing but Ashton is actually crying, so I have to make myself stop. Am I a terrible mother or what?
