My brother Wade and nephew Josh snowboarding up at Spout Springs, OR

Ashton and Ethan
This was Ashton's first snowboarding experience. He totally loved it. He and Ethan would face eachother, hold hand and just fly down the mountain, it was crazy to watch. Ashton had no fear. I thought he might be scared about the ski lift or something, but he did great. Snow boarding at 3 1/2, so crazy and so fun. It's nice that we can do it together as a family

Christmas morning at our house

Noah was more interested in the fruit snacks from his stocking than anything else

Ice Skating is Fun

So here we all are the Snoopy Ice Arena in Santa Rosa. We had a blast. We went during what they call "puppy practice" so they let the kids push chairs on the ice to support themselves or let the little ones sit on the chairs ( I got a great workout pushing Noah around on the ice). Ashton cried when we had to leave. And he actually started skating without the chair by the end. Noah tried pushing the chair as well but doesn't quite have the balance so he sat most of the time. Ethan took some time off work to go with us, it really was so much fun.

Christmas Time

Here are some random family shots from the month of December. Setting up the Christmas tree, Noah riding Nemo like a pony, Ashton dressed up in his recently purchased snow gear ( in anticipation of our trip to Washington for Christmas), and other fun moments.

Quilts, Quilts and more quilts

The top Quilt was a project I collaborated with my sister Shaneil on. She hand stitched the names, (all of my siblings, yes there are nine of us) on pieces of muslin and then sent them to me and I put the nine blocks together into a quilt for my mom and dad for Christmas. The floral purple quilt I made for my niece Haley who is also in the picture. The Pink one is for my soon to be niece Molly, Emily is Due in February. And the brown and blue one I made for my cousin Yvonne's Son Talon. I love playing with different textures and patterns. The two larger quilts gave me an opportunity to test out my free motion foot on my sewing machine. The purple quilt for my neice used 6 spools of thread for just the quilting portion!
